Agata Kielar-Długosz

Agata Kielar-Długosz is a Polish flutist, a graduate of soloist studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich as well as postgraduate studies at the Hochschule für Musik in Weimar, and the Yale University in New Haven (USA). She has won prizes in Polish and international flute competitions.

She is an active soloist and chamber musician both in Poland and abroad. On many occasions she has been the first performer of works dedicated to her by Polish and foreign composers (including those by Mykietyn, Pstrokońska-Nawratil, Moss, and Łukaszewski). She has made numerous recordings for the radio and record labels. She was the princi- pal flutist in the Bayerisches Symphonieorchester as well as playing with with the Münchener Kammerorchester and the Bach Collegium in Munich. She has appeared under such conductors as Zubin Mehta, Mariss Jansons, Sir Colin Davis, Jacek Kaspszyk, Jerzy Maksymiuk, Agnieszka Duczmal, and Helmuth Rilling.

Agata teaches numerous master classes. She has held a doctorate in musical arts in the field of artistic instrumental studies since 2013.
