Matylda Damięcka

Visual artist and spectacle director, theatre and television actress, voiceover artist, singer, and illustrator, graduate of the Aleksander Zelwerowicz National Academy of Dramatic Art in Warsaw.

She made her acting debut at Warsaw’s Nowy Theatre during the tenure of Adam Hanuszkiewicz. She has also appeared at Warsaw’s Och, Polonia, Kamienica and Scena Prezentacji theatres as well as Klub Komediowy independent comic stage, the Ludwik Solski Theatre in Tarnów, InVitro Stage in Lublin, and NOSPR Katowice. She has recently started a musical collaboration with Radek Łukasiewicz, with whom she performs in Matylda/Łukasiewicz and Polskie Znaki bands. In the music scene she has also worked with Wojtek Mazolewski and his quintet, Leszek Biolik, and Jan Młynarski.

Damięcka has directed such music spectacles as Disappearing City (2019), Cohen’s Women (2017), and Bowie First Step (2013), in all of which she also appeared as a singer. Her accolades include winning the Toruń Film Song and Ballad Festival (2012) and the Kutno Stattion National Contest of Songs by Jeremi Przybora (2011), as well as a honourable mention at the PPA Stage Songs Review in Wrocław (2012).
