Mezzo-soprano and educator, she graduated in piano and singing from the Grażyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz University of Music in Łódź. Winner of top prizes in international music competitions, including the 1st International Stanisław Moniuszko Vocal Competition in Warsaw (1992), the 6th International Johannes Brahms Competition in Hamburg (1994), and the 43rd ARD International Music Competition in Munich (1994).
Danish cellist, highly regarded for his interpretations of contemporary repertoire, in particular – cello concertos and solo works. He studied in Amsterdam, London, Zagreb, Vienna, Copenhagen, and elsewhere, with such musicians as Harro Ruijsenaars, Dmitri Ferschtman, Valter Dešpalj, Mats Lidström, Morten Zeuthen, and Anner Bylsma. Kullberg has performed with the major orchestras of Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland, as well as renowned orchestras from other countries: London’s Royal Philharmonic, BBC Philharmonic, Sinfonia Varsovia, NFM Wrocław Philharmonic, and Tallinna Kammerorkester.
In 1951 she graduated with distinction from Stefan Belina-Skupiewski’s singing class at Katowice’s State Higher School of Music (now the Academy). She also studied violin with Irena Dubiska. She made her debut at the Silesian Opera in 1946 as Mercedes in Bizet’s Carmen and Flora in Verdi’s La traviata.
Percussionist, graduate of Warsaw’s Chopin University of Music (class of Henryk Mikołajczyk and Miłosz Pękala). She is now continuing her studies with Marta Klimasara and Klaus Dreher at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Stuttgart. In 2018 she won the grand prix of the 12th Young Performers’ 20th- and 21st-Century Music Competition in Radziejowice. She also earned prizes in the 10th International ‘Italy Percussion Competition’ in Fermo, the 2nd Nationwide Percussion Competition in Poznań, and the 13th International Vibraphone Competition in Opole.
Tenor, graduate of Academies of Music in Katowice (class of Prof. Renata Danel at the Jazz and Popular Music Faculty) and Kraków (class of Prof. Janusz Borowicz at the Voice and Drama Faculty).
Oboist in the NOSPR Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice (principal oboe since 2009). A graduate of Kraków’s Academy of Music, he also developed his skills playing in the Polish-German Youth Philharmonic Orchestra and the Internationale Bachakademie Stuttgart under Helmuth Rilling. He has won prizes in the 3rd Józef Ciepłucha International Academic Competition for Oboists and Bassoonists in Łódź, the Nationwide Wind Instruments Competition in Olsztyn, the Macroregional Woodwind Auditions in Lublin, and the Nationwide Young Musicians’ Competition in Szczecinek.
He graduated with honours from Stanisław Skoczyński’s class at Warsaw’s Chopin University of Music. He also attended Jean Geoffroy’s master class at the Conservatoire de Lyon. In 2006–2009 he participated in Tallinn courses of new music interpretation. He won the 1st prize in the Nationwide Percussion Competition in Wrocław (2003) and (with Maciej Nerkowski as Scontri Duo) – the 2nd prize in the International Competition of Contemporary Chamber Music in Kraków (2010).
One of Poland’s most eminent opera singers. He started his voice education in Vilnius, and continued it with Wacław Filipowicz at Warsaw’s Higher School of Music. In 1946–1950 he was a soloist in the Representative Artistic Ensemble of the Polish Armed Forces; in 1950–1979 he sang at Warsaw Opera and Teatr Wielki.
